Giving decision makers from the industry the possibility of meeting politicians framed in an issue-based agenda – that's the mission of hbpa, The House of Public Affairs. A first public step towards this aim was the 1st hbpa-roundtable on the 27th of November at the Friedrichstraße 171 in Berlin. It was on this occasion, where the financial experts Jörg-Otto Spiller (SPD) and Frank Schäffler (FDP) discussed the currents crisis on the financial market with a selected circle of senior executives and experts from the financial branch. |

Many topics were discussed during the introductorily presentations and the successive debate, such as the future regulation of the financial market, the role of the rating agencies, adequate bonus systems as well as the effects of the financial crisis on the real economy. The talks continued during the reception which followed after. |
