Hans Bellstedt (Dr. phil.) is the founder and managing partner of Hans Bellstedt Public Affairs GmbH. He advises on strategic and political issues, coordinates the hbpa competence partners and represents hbpa in the global NEXTLAW Public Affairs Network.
Hans Bellstedt studied Modern History, Economics and Political Science in Göttingen, Bordeaux, Bonn and Paris. He was a staff member of Christian Democratic Foreign Affairs spokesman Karl Lamers MP (1990-1991), personal assistant to Chambers of Industry and Commerce-president Hans-Peter Stihl (1992-1995) as well as an editor of executive publications at ABB Asea Brown Boveri AG. From 1999 until the end of 2007, he headed the communications agency Plato GmbH which he founded together with Scholz & Friends.
Hans is a lecturer for Public Affairs at the TU Berlin and has published the anthology "Public Affairs. Strategies and instruments of advocacy for business, science and institutions" (2010) and "Der Raum in der Kunst. The Französische Straße Collection" (2015). He runs, plays the piano and engages as reading mentor at a primary school in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Stefan Ivanović is Account Manager at hbpa. He consults clients primarily on transport and climate-related topics. For his clients, he observes and comments on relevant political developments, compiles policy reports and produces stakeholder analyses. He also gives strategic and overall political advice to his clients.
Previously, Stefan studied Public Policy (MPP) at the Hertie School in Berlin and Università Bocconi in Milano, as well as European Politics and Business Administration at the American University in Bulgaria. His work experience includes the European Parliament in Brussels, DHL in Leipzig and the German development agency (GIZ) in Addis Ababa. He also supported the civil society in his native Bosnia.
Stefan is passionate about philosophy as well as cycling and mountain climbing.

Julia Wehrs is Junior Associate at hbpa. She supports the hbpa team with monitoring current political developments and creating background analysis in the fields of energy policy and the circular economy.
Due to her vocational training in public administration, Julia has a sound experience in the field of local government. Following her apprenticeship, she completed a Bachelor of European Studies - with Law as a subsidiary subject - at the University of Osnabrück. She spent her semester abroad at the Universidad de Granada in Spain. Julia gained work experience in the field of political interest representation at the „Städte- und Gemeindebund“ (asscociation of cities and municipalities) of Niedersachsen in Hanover and the association of communal enterprises (VKU) in Berlin.

Johannes Näumann supports hbpa as Senior Advisor with a special focus on energy policy, the circular economy and building. In these fields, he analyses legislation, edits policy reports and organizes the stakeholder outreach.
Johannes was born in Heidelberg and grew up in southern Germany. After studying history and political science in Tübingen, Salamanca and Berlin, he learned the trade of communication and press work as a freelancer for DeutschlandRadio. Afterwards he worked as an assistant to the member of the German Bundestag Ernst Burgbacher where he discovered his passion for parliamentary procedures.
In 2001 Johannes Näumann took over the department of press and public relations at the Association of Technical Supervisory Organizations (TÜV) e.V. as press spokesman. There he accompanied the organization’s change process into a modern association. From 2008 he was in charge of the association's entire communication. Since 2017, Johannes has been advising companies and associations on the challenges they face with complex issues at the interface between technology, government and society.
In his spare time, the lover of classical music and art plays the cello passionately.

Maria Rudenko is Public Affairs Researcher at hbpa. She supports the team by monitoring current political developments and creating background analysis mainly in the field of energy policy, circular economy, and climate protection.
Previously, Maria studied Political Science at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow and at the University of Siegen, as well as Media and Digital Communications at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
Prior to joining hbpa, Maria worked for the international broadcaster Deutsche Welle and interned at German Bundestag. She also worked as a freelance print and radio journalist.
Maria is a dedicated globetrotter and a language learner.

Tasha Schedler is Junior Associate at hbpa. She supports the team by monitoring current political developments and creating background analyses mainly in the fields of financial services, e-government and digitalization.
Previously, Tasha studied Political Science and Comparative and Middle East Politics and Societies at the University of Tübingen. She has multiple years of experience as a research assistant. Additionally, Tasha spent two semesters abroad at the University of Geneva in Switzerland and the American University in Kairo, Egypt.
Prior to joining hbpa, Tasha gained experience in the field of Public Affairs at Ogilvy Social.Lab in Brussels and interned with a member of state parliament in Lower Saxony as well as with an NGO.

Katharina Sophie Bellstedt supports hbpa as Public Affairs researcher. She currently has a focus on digital and health policy creating a regular monitoring and carrying out further tasks in the team.
Katharina has been studying Communication and Political Science at the University of Mainz since autumn 2018. She has already completed internships at “funk”, the content network of public broadcasting stations ARD and ZDF, as well as ARD online where she subsequently worked on a part-time basis. In the fall of 2020, she spent an internship at the German TV broadcaster SAT1 in Berlin.

Sebastian Fischer-Jung (lawyer) is hbpa's expert partner for Digital Public Affairs and Political Design Thinking. His industry focus is primarily on consumer goods, finance, energy and mobility.
As managing partner of Digital Public Affairs GmbH (www.digital-public-affairs.de), Sebastian specializes in the field of social media-driven political communication for businesses, associations and institutions. Together with his team, he conceptualizes and moderates Political Design Thinking workshops on the identity and societal responsibility of businesses and associations.

Peter Husen (political scientist) is hbpa’s expert partner for European Public Affairs.
As founder and managing partner of Peter Husen Political Solutions (https://www.political-solutions.de/), Peter consults his clients in the areas of digitization, energy, environment/climate and mobility. In the context of joint projects with hbpa, Peter brings in his extended knowledge on European political affairs as well as his experience in the above-mentioned industries.
Peter Husen has been working as a consultant and business representative at the crossroads of politics and business for 15 years. During five of these years, Peter was located directly in Brussels, where he advocated his clients' interests vis-à-vis the EU institutions. EU legislation has been a focus of Peter's work ever since.
Peter Husen holds a diploma in political science (Otto-Suhr-Institut of Freie Universität Berlin). In the early 2000s, he published the first academic paper, in German language, on the public affairs sector in Germany and Europe. Peter Husen is a lecturer for "International Public Affairs" at the University for Technology and Economics in Berlin. He carries out workshops and lectures on future-oriented topics including digitization and industry 4.0 on a regular basis.

Dr. Tobias Weiler is hbpa’s expert partner for Life Sciences & Health Care.
Within the scope of his public affairs activities, Dr. Tobias Weiler focuses not only on EU policies in the field of Life Sciences / Healthcare, but also on international cooperation in health care as well as e-health and digitization (including approvals for digital applications, interoperability, digitization and care). He advises companies in the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries on M&A and strategic sales orientation.
Prior to joining the consultancy Tobias Weiler represented the interests of various associations of the high-tech industry such as ZVEI, vfa, VDI and SPECTARIS in Brussels and Berlin.
Tobias Weiler studied political science at the universities of Tübingen and Hamburg from 1983 to 1989. In 1994, he was awarded a scholarship from the German Research Foundation (DFG) to study European research and technology policy at the Graduate College "European Integration" at the University of Tübingen. From 1994 to 1995 he was Coordinator Parliamentary Relations in the European Commission (Directorate General Research) in Brussels.
